How to generate a UPI pin Easily

It is very important for you to have a UPI PIN to make payments through these types of UPI apps. Without this you cannot make online payment. If you have not yet created your UPI PIN, then here we are telling you how. Let us tell you that to generate UPI PIN, you must have a debit card. It is not possible to generate a UPI PIN without a debit card.

First of all, let us know what is UPI PIN:

 UPI PIN is called Unified Payments Interface Personal Identification. This is a 4 or 6 digit passcode. It is set by the users. You will always have to remember this because without it you will not be able to make payments through UPI apps. Most importantly, the UPI PIN should never be shared with anyone as it is used for transactions. Let us tell you that there is no need of separate ID for every UPI based app. A single UPI PIN helps in making online payments across all apps.

Create UPI PIN like this:

  1. First of all you have to go to any UPI based app. After opening the app, you have to go to the bank account section.
  2. Here you will see the list of all the banks. In this, you choose your bank.
  3. After this you will see the option of SET. After tapping on it, you will have to enter the last digits of your debit card. Also the expiry date has to be entered.
  4. After this OTP will be sent on your phone from the bank. After entering this OTP, you will have to enter the UPI PIN of your choice.
  5. After creating the UPI PIN of your choice, you need to tap on Submit. In this way your UPI PIN will be created.

important notes

The most important thing is that you always have to remember this UPI PIN. If you forget it, you will not be able to do online transactions until you reset it.
